Tailor-made

Tailor-made trip through Morocco with Soukayna

A tailor-made trip through Morocco, alone, with friends or with your daughter. You send a message, we draft a proposal and we refine it together.

Courtyard of a riad with a fountain, zellige tiles and carved wood
Duration
From a long weekend to three weeks
Group
1 to 6 people; larger groups by arrangement
Start
Usually Marrakesh, other starting points possible
Price
On request

What you will experience

  • Soukayna drives and guides you herself, from the airport pickup until she drops you off again
  • You decide the route, the pace and the places to stay together with us
  • City, coast, mountains and desert can be combined
  • Stays with local families through Saïd, if you want that
  • One contact person through the chat on this website before your trip, in English, French or Dutch

We don't have a fixed package. Every trip starts with a conversation: you tell us what you want, Soukayna tells you what is possible, and a route comes out of that. She drives herself and knows the roads and the people along the way. In Marrakesh she is one of the few female drivers. Traveling with her is calmer and more personal than a standard tour, and if you change your mind on the road, you just adjust the plan.

How it works

You send a message through the chat saying who you are, when you want to go and for how long. Within a few days you get a proposal with a day-by-day plan, the driving times and a few options for places to stay. That proposal is a starting point. If you want less driving, an extra night on the coast or a day of doing nothing at all, we move things around. We only confirm and book the riads once it fits.

During the trip you are in direct contact with Soukayna. If you run into anything, you can also reach us through the chat on this site, in English, French or Dutch.

Examples of trips people often ask for

Use these examples as a starting point. They are not fixed programs, so everything can be changed.

A week on your own could look like this: three nights in Marrakesh, two nights in the mountains or by the sea near Essaouira, and a night in the Agafay desert. The pace is easy and you have a lot of time to yourself.

For friends, a long weekend with Marrakesh as a base works well, for example with a cooking workshop, a hammam day and a sunset in the desert.

For a mother and daughter we look for a good balance between culture and rest, with riads where you can sit on the roof terrace together.

A mixed group works too, and so does bringing your partner. Soukayna is just as happy to drive a family or a couple.

If you have two to three weeks, the grand tour fits: the imperial cities, the Sahara near Merzouga and the coast in one route.

Who it's for

For anyone who would rather travel with their own driver and guide than on a bus full of strangers. It suits women traveling alone or with friends especially well. You don't have to haggle with taxi drivers and you know who is picking you up. And someone who knows how things work here is with you the whole time. You can read more about that on our page about safety for women in Morocco.

Good to know

Distances in Morocco are long. A desert trip to Merzouga costs you two long days of driving. We put that honestly in the proposal, and we look for a schedule where you do more than sit in the car. Also check the best time to visit for your dates: summer in Marrakesh is hot and winter nights in the desert are cold.

The price depends on the number of days, the number of travelers and the kind of accommodation. You get a total amount up front.

For a proposal, a short message through the contact page is enough. Tell us when you want to go, with whom, and what you have in mind.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: you send a message

In the chat you tell us in a few sentences who you are, when you want to go, for how long, and what you do and don't want. An ordinary message is enough.

  2. Step 2: we make a proposal

You get a day-by-day plan with the route, driving times and options for places to stay. We also tell you what is realistic in the time you have.

  3. Step 3: refining it together

If it is too much driving for you, or you want an extra night by the sea, you adjust the proposal until it fits. Then we confirm and book the riads and the camp.

  4. Step 4: you go

Soukayna picks you up. You can still change the plan along the way if you feel like it; with your own driver that is possible.

Questions about this trip

How far in advance do I need to book?

For a day tour a few days is often enough. For a multi-day trip with riads and a desert camp, four to eight weeks is comfortable. In high season (March through May, October and November) it is better to book earlier.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. You ride with Soukayna and she arranges everything along the way. You don't have to share anything with strangers, unless that is exactly what you would enjoy.

What determines the price?

The number of days, the number of people, the distances and the kind of accommodation you choose. You always get a total amount up front.

Can my partner or a man come along?

Yes. Women-friendly means the trip is set up from a woman's point of view. Men are welcome.
